Wes-E

Wes' affinity to music started at a very young age as a trumpet player in third grade.  Even then, you could see that he was driven to be the best at his art.  His gifting in creative writing was birthed during his toddler years and was nurtured by his parents.  He wouldn't revisit this talent though until high school when he took a creative writing class. This became the basis for his writing style and approach to hip-hop.

Wes-E has an infectious personality that shines through in his music.  He always finds a way to tug at your emotions with deep introspective songs. He has a knack for writing some of the most memorable stories in his rhymes...you might say his albums are like audio books!  He admits that his musical influences are many. He cites jazz greats like Miles Davis and Quincy Jones as heavy music influences.  He also admits that Michael Jackson, KRS One, Stevie Wonder and Jay-Z are the artists that he studies to gain insight on how to evolve and reinvent yourself.

Wes has an impressive resume thus far.  He has released four studio albums and one compilation album.  He is focused on creating music that appeals to a wide audience and positively uplifts our youth.  His fan-base ranges from all walks of life and all age ranges!  He typically operates in the genres of Christian Rap and Urban Inspirational Music.

Wes-E currently runs WJV Music Management alongside Justice Ifan, Shan Reeves, and Nelson Jacinto.  He has an unconquerable passion for what he does and you can see it and feel it when he performs in front of a live audience.  We shouldn’t be surprised if Wes-E is mentioned among the musical greats in the future!  As he has said many times, he intends on leaving an excellent legacy!

Kappa Flex

Garfield Sebastian Coke or as his fans know him Kappa Flex, was born January 5th, 1974 in Westmoreland, Jamaica.  He was heavily influenced by his mother and father growing up.  Like many young children Kappa had a very strong imagination and began exploring his creativity at a young age.

Kappa was introduced to music very early in life.  Music was always played in the house.  Many of the major influences for the music he makes today were from records that were played in the house by his parents.  Kappa admits that his major influences for reggae music are Buju Banton, The Late Garnet Silk, and Zilla.

When Kappa came to the U.S. he was already seasoned in his ability to control the mic.  Kappa finally got an opportunity to record some of his music in Plainfield, NJ.  There, he linked up with a friend who was working with a producer from the 316 Crew.   This gave him material that he could perform at various open mics throughout the state of New Jersey.  Once he realized that he could put together compelling music, he decided to work on an album.  Through a mutual friend he got introduced to Wes Ifan from WJV Music Management.  At their initial meeting Wes and Kappa really clicked and soon began working together on additional songs for the album.  Kappa sees this music going worldwide.  He certainly believes that the music will make an impact.  As he puts he wants to make a career of this music and “take care of his family!”

 Ms. Jackie

Jackie Wiafe began singing at the age of 11 on a whim.  She isn't sure exactly why she got up to sing at the First Baptist Church of Cranford/Elizabeth that Sunday morning, but God almighty knew exactly what he was doing.  She has admitted that whenever she sings, it's almost as if she has an out of body experience.  God has clearly anointed her with a golden voice.  To say that Ms. Jackie is gifted would be an understatement.  She sings with the authority of a seasoned professional.  The flair with which she belts out a tune tugs at the deepest emotions that we have down in our soul.

She is now embarking on a musical career with which she hopes to inspire others to believe and have hope in their future.  She hopes to inspire people to believe that with God all things are possible if we would just have faith.  She wants others to know that her message and her delivery will ultimately be the reason why people want to listen to her music.  She puts a unique twist on her songs that cannot be easily duplicated.  Her influences are Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, and Michael Jackson.  She wants to embody the spirit of those individuals while putting her own stamp on the music industry.

She is already making noise.  She already appeared on the new song In The Ghetto with Wes-E.  She has also released a new single called Say No To It.  She is also going to be a featured artist on The Missional Church Vol. 1 slated for release in 2011.  Watch out!  The genres of Gospel and R&B will never be the same once Ms. Jackie puts her imprint on it.
